TMZ Sports asked UFC President Dana White Tuesday if President Donald Trump was coming to the upcoming Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Conor McGregor fight in August.

According to White, someone from Trump’s camp called him about the fight, but the president ultimately decided against it because the extra security and traffic would “ruin” the event.

“He feels like he’ll ruin events if he shows up,” White said. “Secret Service is going to have to go through the place, they’ll have to shut down streets and create crazy traffic.”

A week after falling to Jeff Horn in a welterweight title bout with a controversial decision, boxer Manny Pacquiao was home in his native Philippines Friday to give back to the people.

Pacquiao, who earned $10 million in his recent bout and an estimated $150 million in his 2015 bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr., was captured on video giving stacks of cash to a long line of children.

“This is why I still fight,” the boxer said, via TMZ Sports.

The much anticipated and highly rumored fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor remains completely unofficial. But, perhaps for not much longer.

McGregor and Mayweather have apparently settled on August 26th, as an optimal date for their matchup.

According to ESPN:

Mayweather Promotions plans to request the date from the Nevada State Athletic Commission for the much-anticipated boxing match between Mayweather, the former longtime pound-for-pound king and heavy favorite who plans to exit a 23-month retirement for the bout, and UFC superstar Conor McGregor, a source with knowledge of the plan told ESPN on Monday.

At the Nevada commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday in Las Vegas, Mayweather Promotions was scheduled to formally request Aug. 26 as a date to promote Find Out More…

Rolling the empty pre-dawn streets in ‘ol Citizen’s Cab 1015, it’s like old times. Karl’s back. (Karl the Fog, for those not following him on Twitter.)

While San Francisco is known for its iconic fog, I often joke with tourists that we are “one of the winners of global warming,” with relentless, perfect, beautiful sunny days throughout the year. This, where like clockwork, it used to be fog in the morning that would burn off around 10am, and then roll back in from the ocean around 4pm. Rinse and repeat. (Oh, and with rainy, overcast Seattle-like winters.) With the years long drought, though, no such deal. But, I guess you may have heard that California’s drought ended with the deluge that we’d scored in previous months. Find Out More…
