The government of Russia has expressed skepticism that the communist regime controlling Cuba would be able to afford oil shipments from its former patron to replace the free shipments from Venezuela that have largely ended as that nation descends into socialism-driven poverty and chaos.

While Cuba has turned to Russia to purchase oil following an end to the copious free shipments of Venezuelan fuel, a report in Russia’s TASS news agency quotes the nation’s Minister of Energy as confirming the demand for Russian oil, but not the ability to pay for it.

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters Russia is willing to sell the oil if they are properly compensated for it. “Cuba really wants more supplies, but the question is in financial Find Out More…

The “Grip it and Rip it” guy, John Daly, took the time to rip anti-Trump Protesters, Democrats, and Hillary Clinton this week at a pre-tournament news conference.

Responding to a question regarding protesters preparing to bash President Trump at this week’s Champions Tour tournament, Daly said people “should leave him alone.”

The two-time major winner, known for his prodigious length off the tee, turned 50 last year allowing him to concentrate his efforts on the Champions Tour. A long time friend of the president and former playing partner at a Pro-Am in Massachusetts in 1992, Daly said: “I love what he’s doing for our country.”

Third Part of a Three-Part Series

I. The Nano-Future and the High Frontier

In Part One of this series, we noted that the U.S., in the course of its history, has had to fight just about every other major power on the planet.  Yes, indeed, the world is competitive and dangerous, and so military technology is always a key component  of a nation’s survival equation.

In Part Two of this series, we focused on two central elements of military and economic competition: the nano-world of cyberspace and the vastness of outer space.  We recalled that in both realms of space—the infinitely small and the infinitely large—the United States initially took the lead, and yet, since then, that lead has shrunk, even disappeared.  And our most potent competitor, of Find Out More…
