Prison Planet.com » Car fires, stone throwing have spread to Norway

After years of car fires in Sweden, the trend has now reached Norway as well. There have been car fires several places in Oslo in recent days; At Torshov, Sagene, Bjølsen and Vestli. And Tuesday night two cars burned at Mortensrud.

This development was more than expected, and only the most naive could not see it coming. The Norwegian capital is the city with the highest number of immigrants from the Middle East, so it is only natural that Gaza-like scenes are played out there first. But of course, it will surely spread to other cities, as it has done in Sweden.

Meanwhile, the trend of throwing stones against police, firemen and security guards has emerged. However, the Norwegian police have a different approach to the problem than their colleagues in Sweden. At least for now.

– I do not fear Swedish conditions where the police run when they are attacked. Here it is the youngsters who run when we arrive, says head of police at Stovner and Manglerud, John Roger Lund, to Aftenposten.
