The failed Champs-Elysees suicide attacker held a gun licence and kept a stash of legal firearms despite being on a terror watchlist, it has been revealed.
Adam Dzaziri, 31, owned at least nine weapons, including two pistols and a Kalashnikov-type assault rifle which were found in the car he drove at police, sources close to the investigation said.
Officers say the remaining weapons were found at Dzaziri’s Paris home after his father had earlier told reporters that his son often went shooting.
Dzaziri managed to own the weapons despite the fact that he was raised in the hardline Salafi Islamic ideology and had been on a terror watchlist since 2015.
